Sharon & Bryan – A Surprise Proposal & Engagement Shoot in Oxford

I was contacted by Sharon’s sister Karen a few weeks ago in regards to a surprise proposal that Sharon’s partner Bryan was organising.

I was so excited when she got in touch as I have wanted to photograph a proposal for absolutely ages!

Next Bryan got in touch with the details and we met at the amazing University Church of St Mary the Virgin in Oxford. We discussed his plans and to my delight explained that he would be proposing on the balcony of the church which has the most amazing views possible over the city of Oxford (see below!)

We agreed that my assistant James and I would pretend to be tourists on the top of the tower and be there before Sharon & Bryan came up. Me and James were so excited the morning of the shoot and rehearsed our ‘tourist lines’ that we would say as a cue when we heard them coming up the tower…we are definitely not actors, but it worked as Sharon didn’t expect a thing!

The proposal itself was so sweet, it definitely set me off a little when Sharon started tearing up in happiness!

We went along to Oxford Universities Merton College, Christ Church Meadows, and around by the Radcliffe Camera for the Engagement Shoot itself.

Sharon and Bryan are a fantastic couple and I am so glad that we got to be a part of this special day for them. I wish them all the happiness in the world for their Wedding day and the rest of their lives together.

I hope you enjoy the images from this awesome shoot 🙂
